Welcome to the Archaeological Showcase
Since 2006, the Archaeological Showcase has offered an opportunity to learn about the regional archaeology of Speyer and the varied evidence of the turbulent history of the Palatinate in a way that is clear and direct. It presents ongoing projects and explains them in more detail to the public. It is a textbook example of the work being put in to protect and preserve archaeological and cultural heritage in the Palatinate.
The museum showroom is the heart of the Archaeological Showcase.
The Archaeological Showcase also serves as an event venue and somewhere to store part of the excavation finds. It is also a workspace for processing excavations and preparing exhibitions and publications.
The Archaeological Showcase
is open Saturday and Sunday
from 11:00 to 17:00 and can be visited
free of charge.
